You will serve as a HEALTH SYSTEM SPECIALIST in the FORCE SURGEONS OFFICE of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
Duties
You will serve as a principal advisor and consultant to the Force Surgeon on the development, implementation, and management of performance improvement activities.
You will manage continuous evaluation of the quality of Health Care delivery and risk in order to prevent
and identify Health Care risk exposure.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all program activities are ongoing, effective, efficient, appropriately documented, integrated, and reflective of current regulatory requirements.
You will plan, coordinates and implements training sessions for individuals, teams, groups, and committees at every level of Health Care to ensure they are properly educated in the concepts and tools of performance improvement and patient safety
You will prepare written reports, informational documents, etc. to inform the command and other interested agencies of the progress in implementing performance improvement.

- The incumbent must be familiar with Marine Corps automated data processing equipment (computers) and capable of operating Microsoft Office programs, Microsoft Outlook, and other job-related software.
- Incumbent must be able to deploy (world-wide) with military units. The incumbent must attend and successfully complete the Army Career Program 12 Safety Internship or approved equivalent within one year to remain in the position.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plan, develop, and coordinate internal review systems for clinical and administrative activities to meet organizational accrediting standards; perform medical risk management assessments for process improvements; research, evaluate, and implement a performance evaluation program to recommend or develop new policies and/or system changes; ; and prepare briefs to be presented to a diverse groups of various roles.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR
- I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR
- I have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
