About the Position: This position is located at the 75TH RANGER REGIMENT HEADQUARTERS FORT MOORE, GA

Duties

Serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) in the HQs, 75th Ranger Regiment, Deputy Commander-Staff, responsible for administering the Military Awards Program and for providing guidance and assistance to subordinate commands and staff. Provides program leadership and promotes effective coordination and communication with officials and functional counterparts at two Three-Star Headquarters, intergovernmental agencies, and all associated units. Notifies internal and external organizations concerning reports due, suspense and requirements. Serves as 75th RR Records Management Program Manager. Assists in providing guidance for records management activities relating to adequacy of documentation, maintenance, use and records disposition.

Requirements

  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Position requires occasional travel within CONUS.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Experience in applying HR Military Personnel Management methods, principles and practices, administering, delivering, maintaining, advising on, and adapting basic concepts, principles, and theories of Military Human Resources to the organization, management, and mission requirements of Military organizations;2) Experience in working with a variety of personnel functions such as Awards programs;3)Communicating orally and in-writing to articulate information to leadership. 4) Preparing travel arrangement for group members utilizing the Defense Travel System. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
