About the Position: The primary purpose of the position is to implement, accomplish, and direct the military and civilian personnel management program and administrative services for the 199th Infantry Brigade.
Duties
Plans for and implements military (USAR, NG, ACTIVE ARMY) personnel operations within the Brigade.
Reviews, analyzes, and interprets regulations, directives, policies, and reports pertinent to military personnel matters.
Analyze and evaluate performance through effectiveness of planning, management and organizational accomplishments, meeting objectives, utilization of available resources, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Make decisions and commitments of a binding nature, based on a mastery level knowledge of regulatory and procedural requirements.
Provide technical and managerial guidance and consultation on matters relating to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leader Development, Personnel, and Policy for the Armor Force and branch.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) managing military and civilian human resource operations and personnel for a military command; 2) resolving personnel management problems for nonsupervisory personnel within the organization; 3) determining effective use of resources, plans, and procedures to improve a military and civilian human resources program; and 4) recommending solutions to problems that have significant impact on civilian/military human resources program operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS -11).
