About the Position: Provides guidance and assistance on these matters to subordinate elements of the Command and is the advisor to the Commander and Deputy Commander on all personnel (civilian and military) matters throughout the Brigade. Coordinates military and civilian personnel matters within the command and exercises responsibility for the internal control management program.
Duties
Provide technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of Military HR Programs.
Perform reviews and analysis of military personnel strength data versus authorizations.
Compile and analyze military personnel strength data that impact unit personnel readiness.
Participate in staff conferences and meetings with staff and leaders.
Supervise two or more Assignment Managers exercising complete authority to plan, guide, and direct overall assignment actions meeting goals, objectives, and priorities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves demonstrated experience in analyzing and/or advising on complex problems and issues; experience in establishing criteria, assessing program effectiveness regarding military human resources management issues and problems, developing recommendations and alternative solutions to resolve complex problems or to correct discrepancies; experience utilizing systems such as Enlisted Distribution Assignment System (EDAS), Soldier Management System (SMS), and Electronic-Military Personnel Office (E-MILPO); and experience interpreting human resource guidance, policy and procedures, developing new policies, systems, methods and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
