This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of Administrative Services in Washington D.C. Sponsor, enroll, print and issue the Personnel Identity Verification (PIV) card utilizing the GSA USAccess Program.
Duties
Support higher graded security specialists in carrying out well defined, structured tasks in support of the security program and the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 requirements for sponsoring, enrolling, printing, and issuing the Personnel Identity Verification (PIV) Card.
Monitor and manage PIV office email inbox regularly to stay updated on incoming inquiries, questions, issues, and concerns and, respond promptly to ensure timely and effective communication with SBA staff and stakeholders.
Produce reports on a regular basis (weekly/monthly) to keep top level management apprised of the status of the Security Program and for performance management/performance improvement initiatives.
Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the security and integrity of the PIV process. Require customer interaction, security procedures, and administrative duties. Ensure all PIV operations comply with federal security standard.
Define and establish safety and security tasks, provide advice on needed resources, and monitor or lead projects to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and effective manner. Analyze the impact of fiscal resources, staffing needs, equipment resource constraints and recommends appropriate action to resolve each issue.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).

Qualifications
GS-07
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector performing 2 of the 3 following duties:
1) Taking and transmitting electronic fingerprints for employees and contractors; AND/OR
2) Performing administrative tasks involved with the authorization and issuance of the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card; AND/OR
3) Utilizing the USAccess system which includes managing and administering credentialing processes for federal employees and contractors and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
