As the Chief for the Strategy and Business Management & Service Management Office (SBSM), you will be responsible for developing IT Strategies, goals, and objectives to establish IT Strategies; managing Enterprise Architecture, and performing governance; developing acquisition for IT services and products; serving as an IT manager, leading, and developing staff by providing IT learning experience, and creating and maintain a work environment to support IT initiatives.
Duties
Leads Applications and Platforms Services (APS) Strategic Planning and measurement.
Supports Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), Risk Management and Capital Planning and Investment processes.
Serves as Supervisor of Service Element managing day to day operations and performance management of staff.
Leads Budget Formulation and execution.
Leads Service Management Process for APS.
Supports development and management of Service Element Risk Management Strategy.
Leads Service Element integration with Agency Level Office strategies.
Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

- Position subject to pre-employment background investigation or higher-level clearance. Investigation/Clearance may differ and be required based on the duty location/NASA Center requirements.
- Duty location will be determined upon selection, selectee(s) will remain at their current duty location.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- If the individual selected is currently at the GS-15 grade level, they will be detailed at their current grade and step. If the individual is a current GS-14 they will be temporarily promoted to the GS-15 level.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Working across multiple disciplines and frameworks, such as Agile, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), business management, and acquisition to lead or manage strategic planning for an organization;
Collaborating cross-organizationally to build relationships and plan and deliver IT service delivery operations;
Leading the delivery of IT learning experience and creating a work environment that supports IT initiatives.
AND
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
