About the Position: This position serves as a Training Program Coordinator (Security Assistance) for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.
Duties
Manage training programs for foreign countries and international organizations in support of materiel cases and pure training cases.
Serve as the Training Program Coordinator (Security Assistance) which involves case management for security assistance training (OCONUS).
Forecast future training requirements and suggest policy changes to improve security assistance training efforts.
Assist with capability estimates and manage cases related to training.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Percentage of time to be spent TDY is up to 20%.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing the planning, programming, scheduling, and administration of security assistance for all partnered nations and international organizations within a specific region; developing comprehensive training plans based on requirements identified by the organization; coordinating both short-term and long-term training plans, including cost estimates, inputs to required systems and resource allocation; and recommending policy changes to enhance training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
