This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions.
About the Position: This position is located US ARMY AVIATION AND MISSILE COMMAND, USATA, USA TMDE SPT REGION WEST, OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR, FORT IRWIN, CA.
Duties
Receives a variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) for cyclic calibration and repair.
Coordinates with supported units to ensure effective, efficient and timely accomplishment of maintenance and calibration of each item of equipment
Monitor computer status listings to determine those jobs which are approaching or have been in the TMDE Support Center for an excessive period of time.
Utilizes personal computer to produce, copy and edit a variety of standardized documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position up to 10%

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience to include (1) reviewing data and preparing reports AND/OR (2) coordinating and/or controlling equipment flow. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
