About the Position: This position is located at Weed Army Community Hospital, Fort Irwin, CA.
Duties
Organize and management the Credentialing Program for physician and non-physician Health Care providers
Correlate data received from various agencies to ensure applications for clinical privileges and supporting docs meet requirements.
Interpret and analyze regulations, directives and policies relevant to the privileging and reappointment process, and retention and release of confidential information.
Maintain practitioner credentials files and records to ensure the security, integrity and confidentiality of data entries.
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies to obtain and manage credentialed files.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes inputting and maintaining data in an automated database. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
