This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Exec & Staff Offices, Office of Data and Analytics (ASD). This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Chief Data Officer (CDO) by identifying, formulating, implementing, and evaluating programs within the range of the ASD's responsibilities. Conducts management and program analysis in support of workforce planning, strategic planning, performance assessments, and operational analysis.

Duties

As a Management and Program Analyst (Data Analytics), your typical work assignments may include: Creates assessments, reports, evaluations, testimony, briefing papers, and correspondence for the Chief Data Officer. Develops agency program policies, resolves critical problems or issues related to policy application. Analyzes large sets of data to develop reports for senior leaders. Responsible and accountable for assigned program areas including the development, documentation, and operation of both internal processes and administrative, technical, and automated systems controls. Develops and manages assigned initiatives that transform silos of information into data assets used by DEA executives to identify and mitigate compliance risks. Works with the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst and senior DEA staff to design and manage plans, programs, projects, and studies.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the required qualification requirements described below by the closing of this announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcript with your application. Applicants applying for the GS-14 must meet one of the following requirements: Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Translating data analyzes and statistical findings into clear and understandable insights that technical and non-technical stakeholders can understand; 2) Analyzing the effectiveness of organization's programs processes and resource allocations to develop strategies and determine the best policies, procedures, and use of resources; 3) Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, identify data-related challenges, and provides data-driven solutions.
