About the Position: Serves as the Installation's Mission Training Complex Deputy and Operations and Headquarters Branch Chief, administrative supervisor, resource manager and Knowledge Manager for the MTC.
Duties
Supervises the development and management of all aspects of the Mission Training Complex including simulation supported Command Post Exercises (CPXs), as well as other Individual and Collective training events.
Provides management oversight of all MTC Administrative, Security, Operations, Facility, and Cyber Security functions
Performs resource management duties to include scheduling, budget management, personnel management, supply accountability, communications and facilities management.
Serves as the MTC Knowledge Management Officer (KMO)
Oversees the development and direction of training support operations of the Mission Training Complex
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Extended hours and or Holiday/Weekend work is an essential function of this position and may be invoked on a regular basis.
- TDY travel may be required up to 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) leading simulation supported Command Post Exercises and other training programs; 2) resolving complex level program challenges for ; 3) managing resources including scheduling, budget, supply accountability, communications and facilities; 4) strategic planning future operations for training demands. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
