You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Strategic Microelectronics Division (GXM) within the Global Deterrence Defense Department (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will serve as Lead GXM Acquisition Quality Manager for GXM.
You will guide and mentor junior members of acquisition team under general administrative direction.
You will manage inputs, status and history of acquisitions for quarterly Capital Planning Purchase Board (CPPB).
You will develop and maintain GXM 5-year acquisition plan.
You will evaluate responses to solicitations for price reasonableness, compliance with terms and conditions, and adequacy of competition.
You will conduct acquisition planning and contract pre-award functions to include determining method of procurement and contract type, documenting the acquisition strategy, and obtaining appropriate approvals.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and evaluating contracting or acquisition strategy requirements to develop and execute project schedules, milestones and budgets for efficiency improvement and assurance of organizational compliance.
