About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist, responsible for coordinating and executing Combat Service Support (CSS) to current operations within the V Corps Area of Responsibility and swiftly responding to existing or emerging logistical requirements. The position is with VCorps located in Fort Knox, KY
This is a TERM position NTE 2 years, May be Made Permanent.
Duties
Provide technical assistance to Military Assistance Advisory Groups (MAAGs) and missions throughout the Combatant Command (COCOM) requiring support.
Knowledge of pertinent US and host nation organizations, structure, laws, regulations, and administrative procedures to conceptualize, develop, and execute transfer of multi-national logistics support using the ACSA.
Coordinate activities designed to support logistical support and budget/funding.
Develop logistic support guidance, policy to prepare for logistical support plans, exercises, and operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (NCS/SECRET) background investigation.
- IAW DoD Policy, must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee Special Issuance Passport (SIP) and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes 1) Utilizing plans and operation orders to support lines of communication. 2) Evaluating compliance with rules and regulations. 3) Managing logistical support for various units. 4) Analyzing agreements to make modification recommendations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
