About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Plans and Operations Division and Operating Officer of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) for the US Army Sustainment Command.
Duties
Responsible for providing support services to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel and coordinates with various directors, special staff elements, and tenants at a complex multi-mission installation.
Provides oversight and coordination of the installation's Logistics Plans and Operation program capable of deploying and redeploying soldiers, civilians, and units anywhere in the world.
Performs logistics planning for the entire Logistics Readiness Center (LRC).
Serves as the central point of contact for all installation logistics.
Monitors performance of integrated logistics support (ILS) managers in terms of overall effectiveness and utilization of personnel.
Provides contract oversight, including review, monitoring and evaluation of contractor performance and customer service in the installation supply and services activities.
Responsible for manning/staffing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with logistic support and coordinating all EOC related actions.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, directly and/or through subordinate supervisors, setting priorities and scheduling completion.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.

Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-12).
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Leading property book team members; 2) Coordinating with program managers and contractors on inventory management; 3) Developing property accounting policies; and 4) Recommending solutions to logistics readiness to improve program operations.
