Duties
Initiates, develops, implements, and administers the unit's essential logistics programs.
Supervises, directs, controls, and monitors personnel engaged in logistics, acquisitions and manpower functions
Implements goals and objectives for the current and long-range operation plans and schedules in order to ensure logistics requirements will be met
Represents organization as Logistics expert
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) approximately 10% of the time.
- May require one year probationary period.
- Supervisory Probationary period may be required.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Work that involves conducting analysis of logistical studies and data to improve overall logistical efficiencies; managing personnel who perform logistics, acquisitions, or manpower functions; advising senior-leadership on all pertinent logistical matters effecting the operability of the program; interpreting incoming logistics policy and directives to provide guidance to workforce; and utilizing technical procedures to manage multifunction logistical supply, maintenance, property and/or transportation program areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
