Duties

Initiates, develops, implements, and administers the unit's essential logistics programs. Supervises, directs, controls, and monitors personnel engaged in logistics, acquisitions and manpower functions Implements goals and objectives for the current and long-range operation plans and schedules in order to ensure logistics requirements will be met Represents organization as Logistics expert

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) approximately 10% of the time.
  • May require one year probationary period.
  • Supervisory Probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

Specialized experience is defined as: Work that involves conducting analysis of logistical studies and data to improve overall logistical efficiencies; managing personnel who perform logistics, acquisitions, or manpower functions; advising senior-leadership on all pertinent logistical matters effecting the operability of the program; interpreting incoming logistics policy and directives to provide guidance to workforce; and utilizing technical procedures to manage multifunction logistical supply, maintenance, property and/or transportation program areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementDecision MakingLeadershipPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
