About the Position: You will be Project Manager Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (PM IPPS-A) Product Support Manager, providing overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of comprehensive product support strategies for the portfolio's software programs. This role will directly advise the PM IPPS-A portfolio on support and logistic strategies to implement modern software support processes into our agile programs.

Duties

Provides overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of comprehensive software product support strategies for Army business software systems. Plans, organizes, and directs the product support operations of the functional unit. Oversees cost estimating, planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability, product support integrators and product support providers, and oversight of the product support function. Assesses organizational strengths and weaknesses and supports open relationships, team building, feedback, and related productivity factors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field - Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position. This position requires the selectee to remain in Federal service for at least 3 years.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must complete LOG 465 Executive Product Support Manager’s Course, within 24 months of assignment.
