You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the the PEO Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 platform. This position is within the NAWCAD 6.6.5.1 Logistics Competency under the direction of NAWCAD Logistics Group. located within the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office in Washington, DC (Arlington, VA) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will support technical and administrative continuity to F-35 sustainment by integrating Mission Systems Logistics aspects, requirements, and activities across the F-35 Weapon System IPT’s.
You will provide support for overall management of life cycle logistics/maintenance management activities in support of Mission System(s) during development, production, world-wide deployment and in-service support.
You will conduct and/or review analytical processes that influence design for supportability and determine support resource requirements necessary to sustain the acquired system or equipment through its life cycle.
You will recommend and design alternatives to Mission Systems Lead for presentation to engineering and development teams as appropriate.
You will advocate alternative logistics support concepts to improve overall product support, maximize readiness, ensure safety, and reduce total ownership costs.
You will assist in the identification and development of requirements and contractual deliverables to support Mission Systems Logistics requirements.
You will assist with efforts to improve readiness, supportability, and reduction of maintenance man-hours to support the F-35 aircraft and systems.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Provide support for overall management of life cycle logistics/maintenance management activities in support of Mission System(s) during development, production, world-wide deployment and in-service support. 2.) Assist in determination of the actual and derived Mission Systems Logistics requirements based on program documents, other user and engineering inputs, and service policies. 3.) Assist in development of program strategies and milestones in support of Mission Systems Logistics. 4.) Review Reliability and Maintainability plans and products to ensure that program needs are met.
