You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Missions Systems Group, Logistics Department and serve as the Depot Software Activation Deputy Assistant Program Manager of Logistics (DAPML) for the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO), Arlington, VA of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will analyze needs and synthesize requirements information to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans associated with Depot Software Activation activities.
You will serve as a key participant in the development of Depot Software Activation and sustainment strategy that serves as the framework for integrating functional activities essential to the acquisition and sustainment effort.
You will identify and plan for the personnel and functional management support required to execute the acquisition/sustainment strategy.
You will direct the preparation of documents, specifications, requirements, criteria, and standards that define needs and parameters of the F-35 Depot Software sustainment program.
You will coordinate program efforts with other activities and personnel directly assigned or detailed to support the program.
You will recommend to higher program authority the need to redirect efforts, to pursue additional lines of investigation, and similar matters.
You will synthesize critical management issues, documentation and relevant information needed to support program reviews.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band or GS-11/12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing Depot Software Activation activities by assessing the supportability, maintainability, and sustainability of existing systems; 2) Analyzing needs to develop requirements for program initiatives and plans associated with Depot Software Activation activities; 3) Contributing to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of an assigned program; 4) Providing advice to higher-level officials on program status and problems that require resolution or adjustments that are needed in plans and schedules.
