You will serve as a LEAD LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM HQ LOGISTICS GROUP, FST HQ TECHNICAL DATA DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER, FLEET READINESS CENTERS Patuxent River, MD.

Duties

You will manage and analyze Technical Data Packages, and related support functions such as Technical Data Rights assertions. You will facilitate logistically supportable and cost affordable logistics product data execution. You will asses health of technical data programs throughout lifecycle with respect to usability, quality, timeliness, information assurance, cost, schedule, and supportability You will establish vision, strategies, and priorities for Naval Aviation Technical Data and Engineering Services Center.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Advising on procedures to uphold the quality and integrity of logistics product data to include the implementation of routine audits and reviews; Implementing diverse Technical Data Management processes and resolving any discrepancies with internal standard procedures and industry norms to ensure best practices; Supporting relevant program, and developing and sustaining Standards Work Packages (SWPs) and Standards Skills Packages (SSPs) to ensure the quality of technical data services and to facilitate personnel training; Providing processes and policies for effective implementation of concepts required to sustain and provide continuous technical data services to ensure maintainability, readiness, supportability, and affordability; and Interpreting guidance and policies from higher headquarters and assist in development of local methods and procedures consistent with overall sustainment objectives.
