About the Position: The office is located near Honeycutt access point on Fort Liberty, NC. The office floorplan consists of individual cubicles and supervisor offices for the Directorate of Business Operations providing support for Womack Army Medical Center. The position main hours are Monday thru Friday 0730-1630. This position is exposed to many opportunities to learn the business models and practices of military medicine.
Duties
Provide assistance for the data, systems, education, and analysis of the cost accounting measures for the organization.
Utilize office automation systems to draft reports, create spreadsheet, and develop presentations for the organization.
Conduct staff trainings and briefings on the systems utilized to enter and retrieve data for reports.
Utilizing automated systems such as Expense Assignment System (EAS), Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) or Defense Medical Human Resource System internet (DMHRSi) to enter and retrieve data for analysis.
Provide recommendations to leaders on the cost effectiveness of accounting and manpower distribution within the medical treatment facility or surrounding clinics.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated cost accounting and recordkeeping systems such as Defense Medical Human Resource System internet (DMHRSi) or Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS) to input, compile, and retrieve date for reports; analyzing data for trends and accuracy in cost accounting; utilizing office automation software to draft reports, create spreadsheets, graphs, and presentations for departments within the organization; assisting with training to staff on system utilization within various departments.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Cost Accounting, Accounting, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Information Systems.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
