About the Position: This position is located at This position is located at USAJFK Special Warfare Center & School, Assistant Chief of Staff, at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, North Carolina, centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities.

Duties

Manage all aspects of force management and organization integration for assigned USAJFKSWCS units including proposing organization requirements, proposing organizational realignments, and documenting organizational changes. Lead all efforts to conduct manpower analysis reviews and surveys applying sound management principles to evaluate and document civilian and military manpower requirements. Provide senior technical direction and leadership in force management to include current and future concepts, while undertaking and participating in special projects.

Requirements

  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in conducting manpower analysis reviews for evaluating and documenting civilian and military manpower. Managing the development and implementation of the organizations Command Plan. Briefing and advising senior leadership in applying established policies, guidance, and regulations and advising the command on effective use of available manpower authorizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
