This position is located in the Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), a field activity of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The scope of this position includes governance and oversight of FSD activity integration, administrative, management, performance, manpower, personnel, training and development, correspondence control, public relations, communications, formulation of policies, standardizing procedures, and overarching strategic planning.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Serve as the Director, Directorate Management Division (DMD)
Exercise considerable autonomy in carrying out his/her duties
Provide expert advice to the FSD Director, Deputy & Assistant Directors and all Branch Directors
Represent FSD and participates in meetings and conferences
Oversee FSD administrative responsibilities
Requirements

- Total salary varies depending on location of position
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment

You may qualify at the 15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability in: overseeing and advising on administrative policies, processes, and procedures; oversee contracts and acquisition, financial and activity integration matters; managing human capital actions and outreach, managing special programs and provide expert advice to Directors, Deputy & Assistant Directors and all Branch Directors.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
