You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the GLOBAL SUPPORT BRANCH/SLDB (CODE 5212), LOGISTICS SUPPORT DIVISION (CODE 520), SUPPLY DEPARTMENT (CODE 500) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will be responsible for serving as a Supply Technician providing industrial support for the refit of OHIO class submarines and other assigned units.
You will be responsible for providing supply support services necessary to maintain the workload of the Submarine Logistics Center.
You will be responsible for performing cradle to grave management of outstanding material requests for global customers by accomplishing Submarine Logistics Database (SLDB) maintenance and validation.
You will be responsible for generating report requests, conducting research, identifying specific problem areas, analyzing, developing, evaluating and making recommendations for corrective actions.
You will be responsible for reviewing procedural and/or system problems affecting the timely accomplishments of requisition/status processing.
You will be responsible for inputting various supply transactions to the database to include, requisitions, inquiries, status updates and modifiers.
You will be responsible for preparing reports on Submarine Logistics Database requisition validation performance for use in management level meetings.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- An IT Level II Designation is required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience managing material requests for customers supported by the Submarine Logistic Center by accomplishing Submarine Logistic Database (SLDB) maintenance and validation and preparing reports on SLDB requisition validation performance.
Experience with supply system regulations, policies, methods, and procedures related to inventory management, traffic, storage, and issue processing as well as the knowing the purpose and procedures of conducting internal and external Material Obligation Validations (MOV) and interpret status, ensuring that all outstanding requisitions are valid requirements and appropriate actions are taken.
Experience analyzing statuses through interpretations of Navy Enterprising Resource Project (NERP) and SLDB inquiries and responses.
Experience analyzing and determining appropriate corrective action to resolve and provide input to ensure database accuracy and reviewing various management reports and/or computer files for related processing errors/exceptions.
Experience reviewing incoming MILSTRIP status and daily/monthly receipt reports from numerous sources via a variety of media and generating report requests, conducting research, and identifying specific problem areas affecting the timely accomplishments of requisition/status processing.
Experience auditing material requisitions, checking and correcting National Stock numbers (NSN), unit of issues, validating supply status and estimating delivery dates (ESD) to ensure FIAR compliance.
