You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will lead a branch of over 50 military and civilian personnel to plan, direct, review, and approve all Marine Corps retirement and separation programs for all Regular and Reserve Marines.
You will supervise and manage the non-deployability and disability evaluation programs for all Regular and Reserve Marines.
You will develop, assess, analyze, and implement policies, procedures and technology that increases Branch productivity for these programs.
You will serve as the Marine Corps senior subject-matter expert and advisor on separation and retirement issues to the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs and the Director, Manpower Management Division.
You will supervise and manage all programs supporting surviving spouses of servicemembers, former spouses and family members according to law, regulation and policy.
You will provide counseling and guidance for benefits, entitlements and other issues in which servicemembers, to include general officers, or their family members request support.
You will partner with external organizations and key stakeholders as required to support retirees and resolve concerns regarding a broad range of transition issues such as retired pay, disability compensation, survivor benefit plan, and insurance.
You will represent the Marine Corps at senior-level meetings and conferences with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of the Navy, and other external stakeholder agencies.
You will respond to Congressional correspondence and higher headquarters requests for information.
Requirements

- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising and managing service and departmental level active duty or reserve complex administrative separation and retirement, disability and retired pay, entitlements, and/or benefits programs; experience to include managing civilian and military personnel.
