You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the DATA LINKS BRANCH of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will serve as the Branch Head, responsible for the administrative and technical management and supervision of a complex team of scientists and engineers on various branch projects. You will function as an analyst on technical projects planning, executing, managing, monitoring and overseeing research, development, test, and evaluation of systems or system components. You will provide technical, project management, and contract oversight of branch projects, as requested by and under the guidance of the division head. You will lead or participate in division and/or department councils, special projects, or working groups. Participate in strategic planning efforts for the division and/or department.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

In addition to meeting the four competencies, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing complex projects and providing technical guidance to branch members in the areas of antenna and radio frequency systems. Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
