You will serve as Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific's Supervisory Director of Prototyping for Information Warfare.
Duties
You will perform and/or manage research and development in engineering or sciences, or another field closely related to the
mission of the STRL.
You will be responsible for rigorous yet agile systems engineering and disciplined technical leadership in the rapid prototyping and
deployment of C4ISR, Cyber and space systems.
You will work with the scientific and engineering community to identify new technologies, engineering innovations and potential game changing capabilities to be introduced to the Fleet on an aggressive time line.
You will ensure all levels of leadership are kept apprised of the status of all efforts regarding priority prototyping projects.
You will build relationships and work with all Navy and Marine Corps technical and operational communities involved with Information Warfare.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration:
1. Highly skilled communicator and collaborator with the ability to galvanize "coalitions of the willing". Record of building strategic partnerships and teaming across the NR&DE, SYSCOMs, service labs, industry, Fleet/Fleet Marine Force, etc. in support of achieving organizational strategic goals and technical vision.
2. Knowledge of the C4ISR, cyber and space operational environments with constraints, coupled with the ability to recognize the operational and technical feasibility of new concepts for application to the warfighter.
3. Experience in rapid development, fielding and transition of systems that meet capability needs and address Naval requirements (i.e., experience in rapid prototyping, experimentation and demonstration).
4. Expert knowledge of Center technical and scientific work relative to development of new Naval and Joint capabilities and the road-mapping, transition and integration of capabilities into relevant acquisition programs and operational warfighting systems.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including high visibility projects, projects with elevated risk, and projects with aggressive execution timelines.
