About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Army Materiel Command, Office of Public & Congressional Affairs, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898.
Duties
Serve as a Public Affairs Specialist responsible for developing and implementing the Army Materiel Command (AMC) communications program.
Execute communications projects through the production of communications products, including print, visual, web-based, multimedia and video.
Develop communications strategies to facilitate support and understanding of AMC through a wide variety of communications platforms.
Conduct a community and media relations program for the command at the local, regional, national and international level.
Advise Public Affairs professionals throughout the command on development of specialized strategies, communications campaigns, and associated communications products.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of the appointment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up 20% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing new methods, communication strategies, plans and products that cover the full spectrum of strategic communication program; writing, editing and presenting information on a wide variety of subjects using a vast array of written, visual, and oral presentation formats, techniques and media, and directing the development and execution of communications products and projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
