Duties
Provides support for briefings involving the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff and senior staff.
Assists in the development of reports and presentations
Coordinates distribution of information or materials with external entities; coordinates meeting/seminar/conference logistics with educational contacts.
Perform a variety of administrative tasks which may include using discretion when handling highly sensitive information, drafting, and proofreading correspondence, and preparing minutes from meetings.
Keeps the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff and the front office staff advised of controversial and time-sensitive issues.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position require a Secret/NCS security clearance.
Qualifications
Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-07 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-09 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-05 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as: Experience with providing routine administrative support.
For the GS-09, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-07 if outside the Federal service.
Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as: Experience with providing routine administrative support and ensuring coordination and timeliness of office functions.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Education
GS-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements). Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
GS-09 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
