Duties

You will serve as analyst over logs and records to ensure quality and timely delivery of required documents for fleet support for aircraft maintenance. You will provide guidance, training, and support to the aircraft data technicians and data management specialists in their performance of routine and specialized tasks. You will serve as a point of contact for errors, deficiencies, and complaints regarding the logs and records requirements of aircraft management. You will work with all levels of production management up to and including the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to identify and resolve logbook issues or errors. You will screen, update, and closeout aircraft records and determine accuracy and completeness. You will screen component record cards to determine possible service life expiration during repair which would adversely affect the aircraft and equipment safety, mission capability, operational reliability or delay its return to the custodian. You will receive, compile, and thoroughly reviews the completed work documents involved with maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft, components, and equipment to determine if all work has been performed and authenticated. You will provide technical and analytical data support required to facilitate aircraft and equipment processing. You will update, maintain and manage logbook tracking data which will be provided to the Depot production with trend analysis, error tracking, current and future workload.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing aircraft logs and records in both hard copy and automated formats, sending, receiving, and downloading aircraft's electronic Auto Log Sets (ALS) into the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA); 2) Conducting record inventory and flight hour verification, creating and maintaining Record A cards for all aircraft and equipment, screening, updating, and closing out aircraft records, ensuring their accuracy and completeness; 3) Reviewing bulletins and change configuration data to determine the extent of Technical Directive (TD) compliance, assisting Test Line Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and Aircraft Examiners (AEs) in preparing aircraft for Safe for Flight reviews, and reviewing required aircraft work documents based on logbook records and current TDs and publications.
