You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT AND PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
The duty location of this position is San Diego, California.
Duties
You will determine the resource requirements to balance workloads and alleviate production delays.
You will determine the amount of available resources to devote to each phase of work.
You will allocate resources (e.g., funds, manpower, facility, space) to carry out program operations.
You will advise officials on the status of a program's projected future plans or problems.
You will instruct others on how to translate their requirements into performance objectives for clear and defined desired outcomes.
You will collaborate with Program Managers, Integrated Program Team (IPT) Leaders, and Customers to ensure development of accurate short and
long term work plans.
You will prepare reports or written assessments to provide project objectives, requirements, scope, or status updates.
You will provide advice and guidance to IPT members on plans, schedules, methods, polices and objectives.
You will make cost-conscious decisions to achieve product cost goals and Direct and Indirect Overhead rate targets while managing a highly complex production effort.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing comprehensive product plans to ensure fulfillment of quality, schedule, cost and performance requirements;
2) Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with personnel from internal and external agencies;
3) Providing technical and administrative oversight to the Product Line and its members;
4) Identifying and defending resource requirements (such as funding, manpower, safety and facilities) for the production effort of assigned product; and
5) Planning for and synthesizing requirements of multi-competency areas into integrated strategies and processes to effectively execute the production commitments.
