This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/ Management Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA DISA - OC.
Duties
Focal point for all administrative management and support services inquiries and problems.
Performs analysis and gathers data that involves forming solutions to problems, which may involve a wide variety of functions and/or processes for the organization.
Coordinates projects and tasks on behalf of the Chief/Deputy Chief, assuring that priority actions are staffed and tracked throughout the organization.
The incumbent serves as the organizations Office Manager, Internal Controls manager, Records Management Officer and Custodian.
Responsible for a variety of projects/assignments at the initiation that may result in administrative management policy changes affecting the overall organization.
Writes, develops, establishes, updates, and implements administrative policies and procedures to ensure effective administrative operations of the organization. Reviews existing policies and procedures, identifies potential problems.
Performs special projects, management studies, and surveys that involve high-priority issues with major short or long-range impact, highly sensitive issues, and requirements with short deadlines.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position requires a pre-employment drug screen, assignment to the random drug testing position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: specialized technical and administrative experience to accomplish the task assigned. Required office manager experience managing internal controls and automated systems. Experience in travel and supply management, and event planning. .

This position may be designated as Emergency Essential. Incumbent must sign a statement of understanding and an agreement to continue to perform the duties of this position in the event of a crisis until relieved by proper authority. Incumbent's dependents shall be evacuated from the crisis zone with the same priority as other DoD-sponsored evacuees. You may be required, as a condition of employment, to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters. This may also include other immunizations that may in the future be required for this position, or for a position you may fill as an emergency-essential alternate. Failure to take the immunizations may lead to your removal from this position or separation from Federal Service.
Education
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education .
