You will serve as a GG-0132-13 Intelligence Specialist for the WARGAMING DIVISION, MARINE CORPS WARFIGHTING LABORATORY at the General Robert B. Neller Center for Wargaming and Analysis (Neller Center) in Quantico, VA, where you will conduct research and analysis in support of strategic wargaming objectives.
Duties
You will conduct research and analysis to maintain expertise on opposition force employment in the maritime and littoral domains at the tactical and operational levels.
You will maintain cognizance of issues to understand opposition political and military strategies and doctrine in support of a wide range of wargaming, applied research, and planning efforts.
You will work with wargame developers in game design, scenario development, development of opposition (Red) force strategy and concept of operations, Red order of battle development, and recruitment of Red game players.
You will direct the level of game intelligence play during game design and execution to ensure intelligence disclosures to game players reflect real-world expectations, and assist with post-game analysis.
You will serve as an intelligence lead in concept development-force design, combat development-force development, OPLAN/CONPLAN assessment-force employment through briefings, researching answers to RFIs, and participation in planning sessions.
You will represent Wargaming Division equities to Service, joint, and inter-agency meetings, briefings, and other events.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Occasional travel required for contingency / exercise support, briefings, conferences, and training.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Conduct research and analysis to maintain expertise on opposition force employment in the maritime and littoral domains at the tactical and operational levels.
2. Maintain cognizance of issues to understand political and military strategies and doctrine in support of a wide range of wargaming, applied research, and planning efforts.
3. Work with wargame developers in game design, scenario development, development of opposition (Red) force strategy and concept of operations, Red order of battle development, and recruitment of Red game players.
4. Serve as intelligence lead through briefings, researching answers to requests for information, and attendance and participation in planning sessions.
