You will serve as a Technician in the Fleet Readiness Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,113).
Duties
You will serve as the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Program Manager Representative (PMR) for Program Executive Office (PEO) Integrated Warfare System (IWS) 80.
You will advocate resolutions for the LCS Combat/Weapon/C4I System, and associated interfaces, and fleet related issues in support of ships.
You will provide technical leadership in maintaining and communicating situational awareness of LCS Ship System (Class and System specific) Lifecycle, Readiness, and Modernization technical issues.
You will provide technical expertise in the identification and communication of issues/concerns that impact LCS operational readiness for the purpose of providing fleet technical feedback to the Warfare Centers and Program Sponsors.
You will lead complex and critical technical projects by defining, planning, and executing requirements associated with end-to-end LCS Ship Systems involving multiple technical disciplines and organizations.
You will provide expert technical consultation and assistance in support of In-Service Engineering, operation, testing, evaluation, maintenance, modernization, lifecycle, and repair of LCS Combat/Weapon Systems and associated interfaces.
You will provide leadership in the face-to-face interaction and coordination of technical efforts among waterfront activities.
You will assist in process improvement, reduction of total ownership costs, and increase of Fleet readiness.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing technical engineering support services to facilitate lifecycle maintenance, modernization, or repair efforts for ship combat systems.
