About the Position: This position is located in the Fox Army Health Center located in Redstone Arsenal, AL
Duties
Serve as Manager, Uniform Business Office solving difficult and complex problems in the areas of Medical Services Account (MSA), Patient Trust Fund (PTF), Third Party Collection Program (TPCP) and Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC) programs.
Reviewing, approving and certifying bills for the Third-Party Collection Program.
Coordinating, validating and certifying MSA for inpatient and outpatient services
Certifying and safeguarding patient's funds and valuables through the deposit/withdrawal system of the PTF and reviewing and signing bills for MAC.
Provide daily technical and administrative supervision of office personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a minimum Secret security clearance. The incumbent must remain eligible for the required clearance at all times while serving in this position.
- Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level1 within 2 years of appointment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with medical insurance billing; third party collection of unpaid claims; and supervising subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
