Duties
You will plan delivery of information technology (IT) customer support services (e.g., hardware or software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, or similar services) for an organization.
You will identify trends in equipment failures to confirm corrective action is taken to bring equipment back into compliance.
You will examine impact of information technology (IT) system changes to confirm smooth integration with an existing system.
You will resolve information technology (IT) problems in response to customer reported incidents by diagnosing situations on a case-by-case basis.
You will advise system users on troubleshooting application software problems.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 451 System Administrator, proficiency level Intermediate. You must obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You must obtain CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC Certifications within six months from start date.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to meet any applicable credentialing or privileging requirements prior to appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Adapting and implementing systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems, 2) Installing and maintaining software and hardware, controlling current versions and future releases of applications software, and documenting the physical configuration of an information system, 3) Optimizing the functionality of networks and systems, 4) Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of customer support services to the organization, and 5) Monitoring and evaluating systems' compliance with IT security requirements.

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
