You will serve as a DevOps Technical Lead and Enterprise Architect in the Information Technology and Communication Services (ITACS) Department of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will develop and interpret policies affecting agency networks and appropriately apply across the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) education and research network (ERN).
You will work with tools to include cloud computing, firewalls, routers, switches, network traffic loggers, mass storage, multiple operating systems, system management software to ensure the NPS network and systems support education and research.
You will conduct the design, implementation, deployment, testing, maintenance, and administration of the infrastructure.
You will provide guidance to personnel that implement and develop technologies and manage assets on the NPS education and research
network.
You will facilitate the coordination of team initiatives and activities, to include design reviews, after action assessments, preparing reports, and maintaining records and administrative information.
You will perform system administration on specialized operating systems, applications, and hardware to include installation, configuration, maintenance, and backup/restore.

- Position designated a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain/maintain credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Enterprise/Systems Architecture (651) Intermediate level within 12 months of appointment.
- Position requires Information Assurance Technical (IAT) proficiency level II as condition of employment, incumbent of the position is required to maintain qualifications in accordance with DON Cyber Workforce Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
- Employee may be required to work overtime and may recalled to duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing solutions to cybersecurity and network issues; 2) Recommending hardware and software upgrades to increase performance of Information Technology (IT) systems; 3) Managing IT projects by developing project plans, prioritizing the work and implementing project activities; and 4) Conducting security evaluations and audits on systems and networks to determine compliance with IT policies and procedures.
