Duties

You will serve as a technical specialist in the application of internet technologies to meet the needs of functional customers, including systems such as Web Content, communication tools (i.e., MS365), and workflow tools (i.e., JIRA, Power Platform). You will provide advice and assistance to customers by monitoring and responding to support tickets. You will provide guidance in bringing together customer requirements through business process analysis and implementing technical solutions that enhance user-developed content and meet business and technical requirements. You will make periodic revisions in response to new requirements or changes in policies, security issues, bug fixes, and other improvements.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-11:In addition to the experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applies proper policy and procedures when troubleshooting and recovering systems and files; 2) Serves as senior customer technical analyst with responsibility for resolving the most complex customer problems; and 3) Applies test and evaluation methods to provide technical guidance in translating and interpreting functional requirements. GS-09:In addition to the experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assists with troubleshooting and recovery of systems and files; 2) Serves as a customer technical analyst and resolves routine customer problems; 3) Assists with applying test and evaluation methods to provide technical guidance in translating and interpreting functional requirements. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government)to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Graduate education providing the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work of the position may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

GS-11:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
