Duties
You will serve as Electronics Technician in the DOD Sys Eng and Mgmt Div (232), Ordinance Sys Eng and Mgmt Dept (23), Yorktown, Virgina.
You will perform repair and certification on equipment and parts for NAVSUP systems support.
You will analyze engineering literature, procedures, and technical drawings.
You will make sound decisions using electronics principles.
You will perform final test operations, verification that the system, equipment or component is performing, within designated certification parameters.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience installing, testing and maintaining complex electronics equipment
Experience analyzing instructions for the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment and related test-set equipment.
Experience diagnosing equipment malfunctions through the use of system analysis, test equipment and schematics.
Experience analyzing system, equipment or component operations to verify performance is within designated certification parameters

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree. Education must be directly related to the work of the position.
