You will serve as a LEAD ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the SEASPARROW ENGINEERING BRANCH (SEB) (2311) of NMC ORD SYS ENG MGMT. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will provide technical assistance/guidance to other technicians involved in the various aspects of electronic repair and certification for a wide range of equipment/parts. You will resolve problems encountered by lower level technicians including obtaining resources and securing needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues that arise. You will lead the team by identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization. You will provide on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing technical guidance and direction to support personnel. Experience analyzing technical literature, procedures, and drawings. Experience developing test and repair procedures for electronic and/or mechanical processes. Experience using calibrated equipment, repair standards, and generalized mechanical test equipment.
