You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Maritime EMW Systems Division (WXM), Fleet Modernization Branch (WXMV), Atlantic Fleet (LANTFLT) Installation Section (WXMVM) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER in Norfolk, VA.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $136,323).
Duties
You will perform as ISEA Onsite Installation Coordinator (OSIC), overseeing and supporting CNO availabilities, Alteration Installation Team (AIT), installation of AN/SLQ-32(V)2-7 for Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP).
You will oversee the performance of AIT contractor teams installing SEWIP Block Upgrades, ensuring systems are installed IAW US Navy specifications, on time and within budget.
You will develop, review, modify, comment, and make recommendations for selected portions or complete data packages.
You will create drawings, specifications, TRS, Installation Operation and Checkout procedures (IOC), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Ship Change Documents (SCD), Installation Control Documents (ICDS), and Ship Installation Drawings (SID).
You will provide technical oversight of Electronic Warfare Operations, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Maritime EW Systems, Engineering Investigations, and SEWIP upgrades.
You will consult with other technicians, project engineers and contractors to exchange information, coordinate on projects and discuss/resolve complex electronics engineering and administrative problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
- You must be willing and able to work onboard ships.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band,
NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering leadership and guidance to assist in the execution of installation or maintenance and repair of shipboard electronic warfare systems or subsystems to support technological advancement and sustainment of the fleet.
