About the Position: This position is located in the US ARMY Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), Fielded Force Integration Directorate, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 3 years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Operates as the Senior Action Officer (AO) serving as a Protection Unit Integrator in the TRADOC Proponent Office (TPO)-Protection, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence.
Analyzes, develops, reviews, manages, and executes training, classes, and courses for Standard Readiness Code (SRC) 37 organizations including the Maneuver Enhancement Brigade Pre-Command Course.
Develops methods and plans to train Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB) centric equities for the Army (Active Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve) in support of TPO-Protection’s role as the Army’s Protection Force Modernization Proponent.
Maintains liaison with local and U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) doctrine agencies in support of Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (MEB) Pre-command Course (PCC) training enterprises.
Authors and/or reviews SRC 37 and commodity area training publications to ensure that ideas are conveyed clearly in words, pictures, tables, graphs, and/or illustrations.
Collaborates with other Centers of Excellence, internal directorates, and training offices for policy, planning, scheduling, preparation, and verification for course facilitation.
TPO-Protection has authority across Army pertaining to identification of capabilities and Doctrine Organization Training Material Leadership and education Personnel Facility and Policy integration for the Protection Warfighting Function.
Requirements

- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 30% of the time.
- Position is subject to regular unscheduled/unplanned overtime.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Assisting in studying and developing protection based training courses. 2.) Analyzes available publications such as reference handbooks, international agreements, concept papers, white papers, technical publications, etc, to enhance organizational training. 3.) Provides input for revisions to internal organizational publications. 4.) Reviews internal training publications to ensure that ideas are conveyed clearly in words, pictures, tables, graphs, and/or illustrations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
