This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management. As an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for managing the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program, handling the more complex EEO counseling cases, and coordinating all EEO investigations.
Duties
As an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist, you will:
Analyze complaints data, determine what the most prevalent bases/issues are and where the issues are, and provide recommendations and proactive approaches to address and prevent issues from escalating.
Work with the OEODM workforce analysis team to determine if there are barriers in BEP policies, practices, and procedures preventing any or all demographics, including people with disabilities, from fully participating in the BEP workforce.
Tracks and assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) and informal and complaints processing.
Provide a weekly update to the Chief, OEODM on the status of processing and other processing related critical requirements as well as generate quarterly BEP-wide and by directorate reports and presentations on the status of processing of all complaints.
Arrange and coordinate all formal complaint investigations, including responding to document requests and formal hearings based on information obtained from the Office of Civil Rights and Diversity Management (OCRD), Department of Treasury.
Provide counseling services to employees and applicants for employment who wish to utilize the EEO Complaints Program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes experience:
Interpreting regulations and applying laws when processing or managing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints; AND
Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders such as supervisors, managers, union representatives, and senior leadership in reference to EEO and ADR; AND
Establishing strategic partnerships with stakeholders such as supervisors, managers, union representatives, human resources, legal counsel, and senior leadership in reference to EEO and ADR.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
