You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY DIVISION, LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will provide effective management of the personnel assigned to the Operating Materials and Services and Aircraft Kit Modification Teams, and provide technical guidance for all matters related to Supply Chain Integration support. You will serve as the subject matter expert in supply material management, distributed logistics, acquisitions, and logistics. You will plan, organize, manage, lead and control supply chain/obsolescence mitigation functions supporting the acquisition, storage, packaging, transportation, and repair of various program platforms. You will serve as a contracting officer representative (COR) in support of the position relevant contracts. You will perform logistics risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for identified risks.

• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band or GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing as a Logistics Element Manager; 2) Understanding of supervisory and personnel management skills; 3) Familiarity with Financial improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance; 4) Knowledge of government property management practices and source selection processes; 5) Familiarity with budget development and execution; and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties, responsibilities and polices; 6) Knowledge of aircraft modification and kitting management requirements; and interim support period spares storage and issuance requirements; 7) Implementing and maintaining an effective NAVAIR property management program to ensure efficient planning, integration, and phasing of all efforts to minimize or eliminate risks and negative impacts of stored material throughout the life cycle of DoD Items.
