Duties
You will demonstrate the use of FM policies, regulations, supports SSP’s strategic goals.
You will provide financial support to the Planning Procurement Strategy Meeting (PPSM) of contract acquisitions.
You will input planning requests into TRBO and Navy ERP based on requirements submitted by branch engineers and program managers.
You will assist the BFM in configuration management with Branch BFR and BOD budget packages to help justify and defend program requirements.
You will coordinate, compose, and process Purchase Requisitions (PR) utilizing NERP financial system, to include proper documentation for processing PRs to execute in ERP (i.e., reimbursable, contracts, direct cite, etc.).
You will solve funds issues and reconciliation problems with within ERP that are applicable to the branch’s approved funding.
You will provide financial data reports using TRBO, Navy ERP, EDA.
You will respond to taskers from Comptroller for DON/OSD/PB budget exhibits, Congressional Staffer questions, Resource Sponsor questions, and any budget related questions regarding the Continuing Resolution Authority (CRA), contract awards, etc.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advise and develop business strategies to identify and resolve complex financial problems using policies, regulations and historical trends.
