Duties
Serves as member of a Software Development team, handling diverse product development tasks including requirements definitions, application design and development, testing, implementation, and problem resolution.
Utilize tools such as SAP, SAP HANA, QLIK, ServiceNow, and BMR reporting on a daily basis for effective data management and configuration.
Collaborate with end-user representatives and functional analysts to accurately understand and define customer needs.
Analyze requirements for technical feasibility and completeness.

Provides advice on the impacts, risks and risk mitigation of software development decision, plans, designs and specifications.

Employs programming tools such as SAP/ABAP, ServiceNow, HTML5, JavaScript/APIs, and QLIK to write applications and interface software to satisfy user requirements.
Coordinates with other AIS project personnel and computer specialists in developing data and executing a comprehensive test plan data covering all levels of testing to ensure the integrity of the data base and data movement.
Ensures software transitions and software development environment to the designated support site is following established standards, procedures, policies, regulations, and guidelines.
Ensures that internal software quality assurance and configuration management practices are used when designing and developing large technically complex applications and/or subsystems.
Designs applications in accordance with established security and privacy requirements.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW/OS), your resume and supporting documentation must include:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Analyze, evaluate, develop, test, implement, modify, and maintain code using SAP/ABAP, ServiceNow, HTML5, JavaScript, and SAS scripting
Evaluate management and user requirements, analyze interrelationships, develop effective design approaches, test new revised systems, applications and processes and develop procedural instruction in the implementation and operation of new/revised system changes.
Define and document system operational concepts, system wide design decisions, system architectural design; and create user documentation.
Coordinates with other AIS project personnel and computer specialists in developing data and executing a comprehensive test plan and analyze and document test results.
