About the Position: This position is located at CASCOM, SCOE Office of the Commanding General, FFID, Fort Gregg-Adams.

Duties

Serves as the Deputy of TRADOC Proponent Office (TPO) Sustainment Mission Command (SMC) and is the Senior Civilian in the organization. Provides advice and guidance and/or renders decisions on problems brought to attention by subordinates. Exercises significant responsibility in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, or in advising management officials of higher rank. Manages and oversees the preparation of all materiel requirements documentation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • - This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing combat service and logistics support for the development automated logistics and command and control systems; 2) planning and evaluate combat development activities; 3) reviewing and recommend concepts and doctrinal matters associated with the integration of new technology into existing systems; and 4) performing supervisory responsibilities such as planning, assigning, and distributing work assignments, makes recommendations for corrective actions, and provides guidance and advice. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Operations SupportOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
