About the Position: This position is at Letterkenny Army Depot located in Chambersburg, PA within the Directorate of Strategic Management Production Equipment Branch, Test Equipment Maintenance Office.
Duties
Repair a variety of electronic test equipment, such as computer based, automated, and fault isolation systems.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning test equipment by isolating problems using a variety of devices including, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Service interconnected circuitry systems using a variety of references such as, logic diagrams, digital equipment, electronic theories.
Perform soldering per current specifications.
Solve equipment problems involving isolation of defects complicated by various factors including, relationships, phasing and critical values.
Facilitate systems testing via fabrication of custom components such as, test equipment, programmers, adapters, etc.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be willing to undergo a physical examination initially, and annually thereafter.
- Must be willing to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Must be willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent due to the position being obligated.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work involves standing and bending in sometimes awkward positions, occasional climbing and benchwork (sitting) for prolonged periods. Usually handles items from 10 to 40 pounds, but items may occasionally exceed 40 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is usually done inside in well lighted, heated and ventilated areas, but sometimes works outside in good weather. However, may be required to work in adverse conditions in emergency situations. Incumbent is exposed to burns, electrical shock, and the possibility of cuts, bruises, and burns.
