About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Strategic Management, Production Engineering Division, at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Duties

Maintain electronic computer-based systems and automated test equipment. Test missile systems, subsystems, and electronic equipment. Use theoretical concept of resolutions for unforeseen problems. Use hand and power tools on electronic equipment and systems. Solve operating and repair problems on electronic equipment and missile systems. Recommend solutions for operating and repair problems on electronic equipment and missile systems.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination prior to employment and annually thereafter.
• This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

There is frequent lifting, carrying and handling of items weighing 10-40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is normally in well lighted, heated and ventilated areas, however, some assignments may require performance under variable conditions or within clean room environments when special garments such as head/shoe coverings and gloves are required. There is the possibility of injuries such as cuts, bruises and burns caused by electrical shock, RF energy and soldering irons.
