You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the AIR TERMINAL OPERATIONS CENTER (ATOC) DIVISION of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.

Duties

You will analyze existing transportation policies and regulations to recommend changes for procedural improvements. You will monitor airlift capability to ensure sufficient airlift, personnel equipment, and facilities are available to move forecasted cargo, passengers, or registered mail. You will serve as an airfield subject matter expert and as a representative or liaison on various associated boards and meetings.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security Secret clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of established air transportation rules, policy, precedence, principles and procedures for the control of AMC Air Terminal's cargo, mail and passenger movement processes; 2) Analyzing airfield problems to create solutions for conflicting goals and objectives, resource challenges, and personnel/manning matters; 3) Utilizes automated transportation operating systems associated with cargo and passenger movements; and 4) Assigning work to subordinates in accordance with airfield priorities.
