Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as providing technical oversight of services by managing grants programs and cooperative agreements.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of wide range of concepts, principles, and practices of grants management
Ability to interpret or develop policy and grants programs
Knowledge of grants management, standards, and methods for administrative and financial management
Knowledge of grant types, methods and techniques including fees, cost sharing arrangements, multiple awards, special provisions and rights in data
Ability to plan and manage long-term agreements involving successive program stages
Ability to gather and analyze facts, explore alternative courses of action, draw conclusions, and devise novel solutions to problems
Ability to recognize and accommodate management needs without sacrificing fundamental principles
Knowledge of funds control processes and account structure
Knowledge of financial management policies and procedures governing administration of grants and interagency agreements
Skill in written communication
Skill in oral communication
Ability to communicate with culturally diverse recipients
